...well... it's a start! It's sunny outside, which ALWAYS motivates me more. Baby is sleeping in his swing. Hubby is being so helpful with making lunch, getting Noah down for naps, taking out garbage, etc. And except for those few little piles shown above, my home is pretty darn tidy.
Life isn't too glamorous up here in the Mason attic, but I'm pretty happy with it!
Tonight I'm making Shepherd's Pie for dinner, Joe and I will probably just watch a DVD and try to get sleep, and we'll start again tomorrow. Maybe someday soon we'll get interesting again-- travel to Italy again, design and make something amazing, learn a new skill...host a fabulous party... Someday.
Today, I'm celebrating ORDINARY, and making the most of what we have.

I'm off to go mail those boxes and birth announcements. If you don't get one and should have, email me. My bad!

  1. I love the to do pictures. Just the fact that you took those pics and posted them prove that you are going to get them done. I would be too lazy to even take the pics. Good luck with getting all your junk done. And Ordinary is wonderful!

quick question... did you design your birth announcements? if not, where did you get them? i always love seeing what people chose to send and in the midst of coming up with a million designs i would love to see yours since you have an eye for photography/design/creativity/etc.

  4. the color and the depth of your pictures are just amazing. It feels like I am actually standing in your house staring at maternity clothes!

Congrats on making progress through the checklist!

  7. Fun post!! I LOVE your bedding!! I want some exactly like it. Where did you get it!! There is a super cute set at IKEA ... maybe I'll have to splurge on that one of these days.

    Oh, and YAY for progress!!

  8. Jami-- I did this "bed look" super cheap! The red sheets are just Target, the duvet is something I made out of plain white bedsheets(don't look too close, the sewing was REALLY shoddy!), and the cute shams are from Marshalls or TJMaxx or something... I call this my "red velvet cake" bed-- all white frosting on top and red cake inside. :)

  12. The trick now is to somehow train yourself to feel that the ORdinary day to day is really extraordinary. That has taken me a lot of time to get my brain around and I still lose it sometimes. I like to think of what it will be like in 5 years when I am not able to cuddle them and dress them as I choose and hold them all day long. Then it becomes more extraordinary.
    Great post!

  13. hey, maybe I would get more of my to-do list done if I turned it into a photo-shoot! great idea.
(but knowing me, it still wouldn't work, would spend to much time taking the pics and playing with them in Ps)

LOVE your house, plants, birds, bed... etc...
(Love your photo's too, you are so gifted)

  14. being the bird woman that I am, I am particularly drawn to the photo of Henry. He looks so fabulous that I can hardly believe it is him. You sure you didn't use a stunt double? And, just remember that I was first in your growing fan club!
