My little Website Grand Opening Contest ended last night at 8:00 pm, and I got all the comments copied, pasted, printed and cut last night.
He reached his cute lil' hand in, and the first name he drew out (which I promptly grabbed before he could rip, chew or stomp on it!-------
JESS!!
(click the photo to see it bigger).... Jess, from California, you are the winner of either a Dress-Up Mini-session, or a custom-made 7x7" hardcover coffee table book. Your choice!
(I am trying really hard to work out a trip to SoCal for photos sometime by the end of this year, so maybe the session would work!)

Noah then pulled out the following two names for the second prize books:
JT Photography
and
KevandChels
You guys get a copy of this book--- Seriously one of the most useful and inspiring photography guides I have seen in a while. You will be so excited to get out and shoot photos as soon as you get this!!
Can all the winners email me at {southerlandgirl at yahoo dot com} to claim their prize and send me your address? If I don't hear from you in one week, I get to pick another winner!

And now, let's talk about this Dress-Up Minisession.
Fairy Tales and Dress Up, originally uploaded by Zayneegirl.
Here are a bunch of inspiring photos I found on Flickr that provide a visual guide to what I am talking about.
I ADORE the idea of photographing little girls having a tea party, or a gal dressed as a vintage 1950's housewife. I love the idea of doing a modern Wizard of Oz, or Princess and the Pea.
I would LOVE to do this with any clients willing to do some preparation work (i.e. getting together a costume and some props)... And even though I am booked through June right now, I would be willing to open up one spot a month until July for a Dress-Up Minisession.
Dress-Up Minisession Details:
$100
20-minute set-up & 30-45 minute shoot
15-20 finished images presented in an online gallery
7x7 hardcover keepsake book with all finished images
option to purchase digital files at $25 apiece, or unlimited prints
20% off any gallery wrap purchase
If this interests any of you, email me and try to nab a spot as soon as possible. You'd need to pay the $100 within a week of inquiry, to hold your session. I am offering one in March, one in April, one in May, and one in June, for a total of 4 right now.
If I get a ton of inquiries, I might open up a few more of these in the summertime.
Anyway.... It has ME excited!

And once again, THANK you for all of your support, your readership, your unfailing ability to make me smile and feel loved. I am so grateful for my blog readers and my beloved friends and family. I think there is a VERY exciting future ahead!
But then I ran out of steam (stupid ALLERGIES!! Knocking me on my tail!) and ended up waiting until this morning to have Noah do the honors.
