  2. Yup - right there with you (well, except the parakeet). Hope tomorrow feels brighter.

  3. I can understand most of those problems- especially the lack of money, the mess at home (except mine is currently all over, not just limited to a hallway), the apparently overwhelming task of grading...
But I can offer one solution to your parakeet problem- just set him free and let natural selection take its course! (Or you could just see if anyone wants to buy him, or you could even offer him for free...)
Here's hoping your week gets better!

  4. Henry can sense your anxiety. Maybe if you sit in the corner with him kickin it old school bird style, all while sipping on martinis, you'll both feel better. NO really, I'm in your same boat. Blahhh.

  7. Some days I wonder why I didn't appreciate pre-baby life more, for all of things that it was. . . so much time (and much more money) nfor fun. . . I'm with you. sigh

  8. For real! What a gross day, with weather to match. My boss just let me know this AM that Stephens won't give her the funds to keep me on this summer (which I was hoping was a possibility), so there goes THAT money! What a way to start Monday. On the bright side, that also means more St-Lou trips...

  9. isn't Noah 4 months now? I don't know what it is about the 4th month, but I got the blues with both girls right about that time. it's like your body is officially exhausted, you are officially behind in all other life things (cleaning, organizing, crafting, etc.), you officially still feel fat and your baby is awake enough that you have less time but he's not active enough that he's crawling around and interacting with you.

all of this to say... at least for me, it was just a stage. like fannie packs and new kids on the block. it seems like forever when you're in it, but looking back it changes so quickly!

so pop in an old vanilla ice tape, tight roll those jeans and eat a cupcake! :)

  11. Don't worry...just know there are lots of us who feel the same way at varying times of the day/week/month/year, etc. :)

Here's something that might cheer you up (you should totally do this):

Also, I need some cupcake/frosting recipes for a baby (girl) shower, if you have time/don't mind! Thanks! :)

  12. Did that link work? If not, I was trying to post about a cutest cupcake contest on marthastewart.com

Apparently, it is "cupcake week" for them. I don't know how I came across it, but it made me think of you.
