I Am Grateful For:

* Noah's sweet affections, be they hand holds or lip-smacking kisses, or secret little rituals we play
* sunlight dappling in a quiet house
* the power of creation
*making things with my hands
* a body that is stronger than it's been in a long time
* the moment we get, right now
* long-distance strangers becoming kindred spirits
* inspiration-- secular, spiritual, emotional...
* prayer
* the past two months
* my husband as a father to Noah
* my husband as an individual
*my husband as my love
* my phenomenal parents
* phone calls to and from dear friends
* six siblings, all so different, all so marvelous
* Burt's Bees chapstick
* Popsicles
* old quilts and rusty red wagons
* trashy novels
* peace in my heart
* hope and excitement
* this whole life journey being beautiful, messy, real and joyous

Today, I am simply GRATEFUL.

  7. Your first four could be mine. Actually, insert Steve for Joe and it could all be mine. Must be 'cause you're my daughter, hun?
