Right near my birthday in late June, I received this book in the mail.
...and then a couple of days later, I received this one.
And neither shipment gave any indication of who the book might be from. I certainly don't remember ordering them. And Joe says it wasn't him. And both books were addressed specifically to me, and both from Amazon. So.
I am really excited to read both, and love the idea of getting mystery books in the mail... But it would be a real shame if someone meant to get credit for these and never did. Plus, there's the thank-you card issue.
So. 'Fess up. If you wanna. If not, it will remain a lovely little mystery in my happy little world.

Man, I wish I was getting mystery books. Inkheart is an awesome one. Just ask Kirsti. TWO WEEKS LEFT AND I'M HOME!!! Still no phone though...
ReplyDeleteNope not me, but that reminds me of a funny story. I bought my mother-in-law 'The Secret Life of Bees' and wanted to wait until she got it to let her know it was from me. She got it and read it before I thought she would and was so intrigued by this random man from back east who would send her this great book. She actually wrote him a note thanking him and probing him for more information on himself and his generosity :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun little mystery- I have been intrigues by both books and still plan to someday read them... Alas, I am not the mysterious book-giver...but I hope you enjoy the books; let me know what you think of them!
ReplyDeleteLame? Since when did a previos teacher coming to visit her student at college become lame? ha ha you HAVE to come visit me while you are in Columbia. It is definately a must! Today is the first day of school, and you aren't there! Exciting? I bet! Hope you're summer was good. I've definately enjoyed all the pictures of Noah. Especially the ones of him in his overalls. TOO CUTE!
ReplyDeleteWow! What's better than mystery books in the mail? I hope it becomes an epidemic.
ReplyDeleteHey! Mystery solved! Joe's parents, my sweet in-laws, sent them for my birthday!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read them...
